I hate the mummies in Castlevania 3! I can get to the end of Route 12 (that's what the NES Game Atlas calls it...it's the level with that mind-numbingly boring section where you have to wait for a bunch of blocks to stack up) without dying, but I always lose about 3/4 of my life meter on the mummies at the end. I tried a cheap way of beating them, using Grant to climb onto the upper-left platform and then throwing axes at them, but you can only hit one of them that way and it takes up a lot of time, too. When I try to fight both of them on the ground I always take a lot of hits, the damn bandages are too hard to dodge. Even when I use the platform on the right side of the screen, I get hit a lot. I think the mummies should be the last part of that boss fight, they're definitely the hardest. I can beat the cyclops without getting hit, and the big gargoyle doesn't seem too bad, but whenever I get to him I only have 3 or 4 bars of energy left, so he can kill me with one hit. I almost feel like starting the game over and taking a different path, I'm getting sick of playing that same level over and over again (I've been stuck there for 3 days).
Sitting in clover looking for the fifth leaf, something soon will come my way....
