My latest idea is to hold a quiz every week where two players compete to answer questions, and the winner returns the following week.
Here are my proposed rules:
For the first week, I will select two players based on their answers to a qualifying question. Each player will have the chance to answer 15 trivia questions of increasing difficulty. The one with the greatest amount of Starbucks at the end is the champ and returns the following week to take on a challenger, who will also be selected based on answers to a qualifying question.
Here's how it would work:
--Qualifying - the question will have a number as an answer; the closest answer(s) will be the contestants.
--The first five questions asked in the game will be for 1,000 Starbucks apiece; the second five for 2,000 apiewce; the third five for 4,000 apiece.
--If a player misses a question he/she loses the amount of Starbucks available by answering that question and gains a strike. Three strikes and the game is over.
--Once during the game a player may opt to grill his/her opponent, forcing them to answer the question. However, if the grilled player answers correctly he/she receives DOUBLE the Starbucks available and the griller gets TWO strikes. If the grilled player misses it he/she loses the Starbuck value of that question and the griller gains that total.
--Players who are crowned champion more than once win Starbucks like this:
1st win: 50,000
2nd win: 100,000
3rd win: 200,000
4th win: 500,000
5th win: 1,000,000
6th win: 1,500,000 and a free hosted forum at the Rad Stadium
7th win: 2,000,000 Starbucks, a free hosted forum at the Rad Stadium, a free custom user title at the Stadium FOR LIFE, and admin at the Stadium
I figure I would need the quiz to be played every week on the same night, most likely. So is everyone open to a weekly quiz? We could even place bets on who we think would win.
