I used to be able to get to the Chris Houlihan room in ALttP almost every time by starting in front of Link's house and dashing to the bush near Hyrule Castle, but now it won't work. I also tried it from the Sanctuary and from Kakariko Village like other sites say, and that doesn't work for me, either...
Heh. On a related note, I read in a message thread on another website that this one guy who played ALttP years ago somehow ended up in that room when he jumped into the hole in the top of the final pyramid. He said he never knew what it was, and tried many times to duplicate it, but with no luck.
