When you confront Gandhar in his monstrous demon form, shoot at his head, and try to time it so that you and him both die at the exact same time. If you did it right, you'll see the cutscene of your character dying, and you'll restart the battle...but Gandhar will be frozen where he last was! He'll have no life bar, and no matter how much you shoot him you cannot do anything more to him! The only way out of this is to either pause&quit, turn the game off, or keep jumping into the lava until you run out of rings and restart from the save point.
This isn't particularly useful, but if you want to see what Gandhar looks like up close without fear of being killed, you can!
This game also froze up on me once when I was using the fighting simulator in Kay'l's apartment. Kay'l and the opponent hit each other at the same time and both had the same exact amount of energy left. The energy meter bars disappeared, and the two characters just stood there staring at each other. I had to pause&quit to get out of it. =/
